Children & Families

Daiva runs many baby and toddler groups where she combines songs, stories, games and arts & crafts.

Recently Daiva was a part of the Connecting Stories project at the Village Storytelling Centre, exploring motherhood in lockdown and what it was like to welcome a baby during the pandemic. The sessions are focused on storytelling activities for the little ones as much as creating a safe and reflective space for the parents and carers.

Every Saturday in partnership with the Lithuanian School of Scotland, Daiva works with Lithuanian families and their young children using the power of story, songs and play to develop early language skills.

To nourish imagination, literacy, self-expression, creativity and the art of oral storytelling, Daiva offers Dragon Lab (Slibinarumas) creative workshops for primary age children, delivered both in person and online.

Daiva is passionate about crafting Storytelling as Mindfulness workshops for young people. She believes in the importance of storytelling for creating strong, intimate family bonds and thus growing resilient, healthy and happy future generations. Her goal is to open parents and carers to everyday storytelling activities and encouraging them to tell both made-up stories and true family histories.
